Action Dogs

The sun was shining and it was raining all at the same time for this morning's doggy portrait session. Here's Morar and Dexter in action out and about on or near the beach.

Great fun dogs and nice to meet everyone too.

What a lovely wee guy he is. Great fun in the studio and very obedient (and well trained!)

The One

Here's the photograph of "Tarn" chosen by his owner after today's session.

I think his sleek, pedigree looks suit this style better than our own scruffy mongrel! (Bless her cotton socks)

Studio Portraits

I rarely use my studio for portraits these days but I have a client this afternoon so I have set up the velvet and lights.

Now where can I find a model to practise on...?

Votes For Dogs

The government announced today that Sighthounds are to be given a vote on May 5th in the referendum. "Sighthounds are a fine, intelligent dog and I don't see why they shouldn't have a vote" said a spokesman.

Miss Daisy Dog (a lurcher aged 1 on May 5th) agreed; "I think that a referendum on such an important constitutional issue is a great place to start but I will continue to campaign for democratic representation for other breeds. It is vital that we have a say on issues such as Dog bans on beaches."

Dogs have become more accepted in society since Pret-a-Manger started selling bowls of dog food & Starbucks introduced the "Pupaccino" in 2009.

Border Collies got the vote in 1997.

Abi & Seven

It's nice to take pictures when the sun's shining but that's not always an option...

On a dull but beautiful day Daisy and I went for a walk with Habu, Abi and Seven. I've taken nice shots of Habu before so the challenge was the Jack Russels today.

Not bad is my verdict but I'll be back for more....

Daisy and her sisters

Coming up for 9 months now, Daisy was re-united with Lola and Bess. She hasn't met Lola since she was 7 weeks old. They all got on very well together and I managed to get a couple of snaps of the 3 of them together after they'd been in and out of the sea and running in the rain....bedraggled but lovely.

Life is about running and sleeping for Daisy (see all other lurchers and Greyhounds).  I suppose eating and pats are there somewhere but not to the same extent!

A lovely sunrise with daisy and ball.

Daisy's face is maturing but still has puppy features sometimes.
